Lydia Pyne

Lydia Pyne is the author of Endlings: Fables for the Anthropocene (University of Minnesota Press, 2022).  Her previous books include: Bookshelf; Seven Skeletons: The Evolution of the World’s Most Famous Human Fossils; Genuine Fakes: What Phony Things Can Teach Us About Real Stuff; and Postcards: The Rise and Fall of the World’s First Social Network.  Her writing has appeared in The Atlantic, Nautilus, Slate, History Today, Hyperallergic, and TIME, as well as Archaeology.  She lives in Austin, Texas, where she is an avid rock climber and mountain biker.
