Mark Dennis (Ph.D., University of Wisconsin) is Professor of East Asian Religions at TCU.  He has published extensively on early Japanese Buddhism and modern Japanese literature. He serves as director of TCU’s Contemplative Studies group. He lived in Japan and India for eight years and has been practicing Zen Buddhist meditation for over 30 years.
