Johnathan O’Neill

Johnathan O’Neill is Professor of History at Georgia Southern University, where he teaches courses on U.S. constitutional history and American political thought. He earned his B.A. from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. and his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. He is the author of Originalism in American Law and Politics: A Constitutional History (2005), co-editor of three other books, and has written numerous other articles, chapters, and reviews.  He is currently writing a book on the relationship between constitutional development in the twentieth century and the various strands of American conservatism.
