John Pomara

John Pomara (b. 1952, Dallas) lives and works in Dallas. He received a MFA and a BFA from East Texas State University, Commerce; he also attended the Empire State Studio Arts Program, New York. The artist is represented by Horton Gallery and off_Key 1 is the artist’s first exhibition with the gallery. His works are in the collections of American Airlines, Dallas; The Barrett Collection, Dallas; Blanton Museum of Art, Austin; Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Neiman Marcus, Dallas; and Tyler Museum of Art, Tyler. He has been featured in exhibitions at the Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas; Meadows Museum, Dallas; The Dallas Center for Contemporary Art, Dallas; Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson, Arizona; Youngeun Museum, Kyunggi-do, Korea; Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; The Smart Museum of Art, Chicago; ArtPace, San Antonio; McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Dallas; Blaffer Gallery, University of Houston, Houston; and Nelson-Adkins Museum, Kansas City, Missouri.
