John Mraz

John Mraz is the world’s leading authority on photography in Mexico and the author of numerous scholarly articles, documentary films and curated exhibitions. Among his many books are Looking for Mexico: Modern Visual Culture and National Identity; Photographing the Mexican Revolution: Commitments,Testimonies, Icons; and Nacho Lopez: Mexican Photographer. He was the curator of Los Hermanos Mayo: Photographing Exile, which was recently on view at UT Dallas. He is National Investigator III at the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla in Mexico.
