Ed Simon is lecturer in public humanities for the English department of Carnegie Mellon University, a staff writer for Literary Hub, and the editor-in-chief of The Pittsburgh Review of Books. A frequent contributor at several different national sites, with bylines at The Atlantic, The Paris Review, and The New York Times, Simon is also the author of over a dozen books, including Devil’s Contract: The History of the Faustian Bargain, named one of the “Best Books of 2024” by The New Yorker.
