Katrina Rushing is an Associate Professor of Instruction at UT Dallas, where she teaches music theory, music appreciation, and piano. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance with a minor in music theory. Her interest in pedagogy and high-impact teaching strategies inspired her to initiate collaborative projects between her music students and the animation program, direct Short-Term Working Groups (SWG’s), and teach a faculty-led study abroad in Prague in May 2026.
