Lauren Christlieb
Lauren Christlieb (b. 1989) works with kept objects, old handwriting, and imagery. She explores family relationships and memory by recreating objects. Her work is a journey to find the story behind the aged objects that she has kept from her deceased ancestors and things they too, have kept. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas (BA 20113) and the University of Houston (MFA 2017). Lauren currently teaches printmaking at the University of Houston and works as an Area Community Coordinator for H-E-B. Lauren presently resides in the Houston, Montrose area with her dog Zoey.
